Walks to enjoy in Bermondsey during lockdown

The global pandemic has changed the way we workout. From weekly spin & gym sessions to getting outdoors and logging some miles. Whether running, walking or cycling, getting yourself outside and moving for at least 30 minutes per day is something you should be proud of.

Here are a couple of places we like to venture outside to when we want to get moving:

Southwark Park

Southwark Park covers 25 hectares which includes; Ada Salter garden, bowling green, band stand, football pitches, athletics track, Southwark galleries, tennis courts and plenty of green space for you to enjoy the outdoors.

Park gates open daily from 7.30am, therefore is perfect for those early morning activities.

More information via Southwark Council here.

Southbank

Begin at Shad Thames and head towards Tower Bridge, passing the site of the City of London, walking Southbank, you will never be short of an epic skyline view.

Interrupted at London Bridge, head on into the grounds of Borough Market, meandering through and picking up some ‘goodies’ you will head onto the bank of the Thames passing Shakespeare's Globe, the Tate Modern and at this point Southbank begins.

A vibrant part of town, during a none-lockdown situation, there’s the iconic skate park, books stands, live music, National Theatre and much more to keep you entertained. Even during lockdown, you are combining seeing some of London’s greatest landmarks and moving your body, it's a win win for the body and mind during these times!
